Year 6 support CAFOD’s ‘Go Green campaign’.
During Green day, Year 6 looked at how children around the world are leading the way in the form of environmental activism. They found out about #Fridaysforfuture and discussed why it is important that Governments worldwide take action now to preserve the futures of the children who will inherit the Earth. They researched and designed their own posters to raise awareness with some strong environmental messages: ‘There is no planet B’ ‘Our house is on fire’ and a class favourite of ‘I like my chicken nuggets hot, not my planet!’ Year 6 also provided ideas of how we can all help: using renewable energy, recycling, planting trees and eating less meat.
Well done Year 6, take your environmental message out there and inspire others.
