Church Bulletin 19.6.22
Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ
Many thanks to all of you who made last Sunday’s celebration of First Holy Communion so special. Hopefully it is a memorable day for all the right reasons. Today we celebrate their being sent forth to serve Our Lord as all if you are from every Mass. Thanks to Sam and Frank for the photos and to Julie for last week’s bulletin, Anne B this week, also to Lynda and for the flowers at Crook and to those who do flowers at Tow Law and Wolsingham.
My thanks this week to all extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion who assist in distributing Holy Communion at Mass and those who take Holy Communion to the sick as you are all being recommissioned this weekend. If any sick or housebound parishioners are not receiving Holy Communion but would like to please let us know in the parish office.
At the time of preparing this publication thanks to MariaLuisa organising transport to attend Fr Gordon Ryan’s Golden Jubilee on 1st July. Please avoid hangovers as we are welcoming Bishop Robert on 2nd July at Mass at Wolsingham and 3rd at Tow Law and Crook.
Don’t forget to bring your bottles and books and other saleable items for the fair which is on 25th June.
If you get this in time you may be interested in Tyneside Fusiliers Memories Exhibition which is happening at St Catherine’s today (Friday) and tomorrow. See attached flyer for details
Youth 2000 is an excellent event every August Bank holiday weekend for young people aged 16-30 with talks, workshops, lots of good praise & worship music, and chance to make new friends. It was booked up by mid-July last year so don’t hang about. https://www.youth2000.org/events/summerfestival Look here for more information and booking form. If you have anyone in your family of this age bracket please encourage them to go.
I hope the warm weather does not cause your plants to die.
Have a blessed week
