CAFOD – Go Green

Yesterday, children at St Cuthbert’s were very lucky to have a visit from a CAFOD representative, no other than Mrs Whitfiled, a member of our teaching staff from years gone by.

She came to talk to our children about the fantastic work CAFOD do in supporting families around the world. Mrs Whitfield was very impressed with how knowledgeable our children were about our upcoming ‘Go Green’ day and why we are taking part in it.

She told us a story about Donna Sonia a Grandmother and farmer who lives in the Amazon Rainforest. We heard all about the fruits Donna Sonia grows and how her family help her to farm the land.

Ask your children to tell you about the Amazon rainforest and the importance of the trees that grow there.

Please visit the CAFOD website in order to find out more about their fantastic work and how we can support them.
