Please be aware that when children access the Internet in school, we use content filtering and safeguarding controls to ensure children are not exposed to inappropriate material. This includes the use of ‘YouTube’ which, without correct configuration, can lead to some non age related content playing automatically.
During the current circumstances it is the parents responsibility to ensure they have parental controls in place so that your child can access the internet safely.
A lot of educational websites have produced resources and videos for home learning, some of these website videos are hosted on ‘YouTube’. It is important that when using ‘YouTube’ parents set parental controls and monitor their child to ensure they do not access anything inappropriate. Where a teacher has provided a link for a resource or video it is the parents responsibility to supervise their own children to ensure they only access the content provided by the teacher for that lesson.
For more information on how to set parental controls and for general online safety advice, visit the following websites:
Here are some resources that we hope you will find useful.
